Job summary

Waynesburg Nursing and Rehab is seeking an activities assistant for the afternoon shift to create a warm, engaging atmosphere for residents and to help plan and run daily activities that enhance well-being and community spirit.

You will coordinate with other departments, support mealtime activities, and ensure safety and cleanliness during events, while contributing to meaningful, resident-centered programs and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and organized individual to support residents.
• Assist with planning and implementing activities and events.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure effective communication.
• Provide support for arts, crafts, games, and social events.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment during activities.
• Collaborate with the Activity Director to develop programs that promote resident engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and implementation of activities, events, and programs for our residents
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication
• Provide support to residents with activities such as arts and crafts, games, and social events
• Assist with mealtime activities, including serving and feeding residents as needed
• Monitor and maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities and events
• Collaborate with the Activity Director to develop and implement programs that promote resident engagement and well-being
