Job summary

LogistiQ Integration Solutions seeks an Aftermarket Service Technician to diagnose, service and maintain conveyor equipment at customer sites nationwide. You will perform mechanical and electrical installations, ensure on-time delivery, and work with the Field Services team.

This role requires travel, strong problem-solving and safe operations; you will support customers, document procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical installation, preferably in the conveyor industry.
  • Knowledge of conveyor system design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; including with customer and internal team.
  • Ability to travel to client sites frequently.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of 90-day probationary period

JOB SUMMARY

The Aftermarket Service Technician is tasked with diagnosing, servicing and maintaining conveyor equipment for our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and electrical installation and service, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in installing and servicing conveyor equipment. The Aftermarket Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all on-site installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency services on conveyor equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.

  • Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure project success.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.

  • Draft technical documents such as documenting new equipment, best practices, troubleshooting procedures, etc.
  • Ability to be in on an “On Call” rotation, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical installation, preferably in the conveyor industry.
  • Knowledge of conveyor system design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; including with customer and internal team.
  • Ability to proactively identify issues and effectively communicate them to the customer or key stake holders.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites frequently.
  • Physical ability to work in a field installation environment, including the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess and maintain documentation for air travel (such as a Passport or compliant Real ID).
  • Successful completion of 90-day probationary period
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as proposals, engineering drawings, specifications, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Fluent in reading and writing English, understanding of Spanish is a plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have technical ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop computer.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. They will be required to lift up to 75 pounds, push and pull. The employee will spend the majority of time on the job site, which may involve exposure to varying conditions and environments. Additional time will be spent using a computer, phone, and other technological devices.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment varies for this position, and the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed, and the air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather. The environment is subject to change based on customer sites, facility layouts, and specific project requirements.
