Position Summary

Disassemble, clean, evaluate, and test field return units. Assist in configuration control and ensure compliance with instructions, manuals, orders, and blueprints. The mechanic must adhere to Parker HSD test specifications and customer requirements, setting up and operating units as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare units for assembly/disassembly, inspecting components for cleanliness and damage.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and records for traceability.
  • Clean, disassemble, evaluate, assemble, test, troubleshoot, and certify components per orders and technical documents.
  • Provide data for job estimates and execute daily assignments following FIFO principles.
  • Work with wiring harnesses, interpret blueprints and schematics, and perform testing to specifications.
  • Maintain work area, tools, and documentation in order.
  • Capable of instructing others and coordinating with shifts.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Work with oils such as red oil and Skydrol, and be willing to certify in multiple product families within 45 days.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Mechanical aptitude at a medium level or higher.
