Job summary

Mentoring Alliance After School is seeking ministry-minded individuals to join our team as Christian Youth Workers. The role focuses on fostering youth development by leading elementary students in enrichment activities, with an emphasis on excellence, wholeheartedness, and developing kids to reach their full potential.

This is a non-exempt, part-time position averaging 17-20 hours per week. Candidates should be ready to serve as a role model and minister of the Gospel within our community.

Qualifications

• Must agree with Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
• Must be at least 17 years old; HS diploma or GED preferred; some post-secondary training preferred.
• Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children.
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred.
• Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory).
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check.
• Valid driver’s license or valid ID.
• Legally allowed to work in the United States.
• Have dependable transportation.
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities after school.
• Serve as a role model and minister of the Gospel within the community.
• Support safe, engaging, and age-appropriate programming during after-school hours.
