Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley (BGCFV) seeks a Youth Development Specialist to help plan, implement, supervise and evaluate activities in academic, computer lab, arts and crafts, physical education, good character and health programs for youth ages 6-18 at BGCFV.

This part-time position aligns with the school calendar, with after-school and school-break hours, and emphasizes safe, engaging activities, positive youth development, and strong club participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• College or teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of youth development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure programs and activities promote youth success and safety.
• Coordinate, promote, and stimulate participation in programs.
• Maintain a healthy and safe environment for members.
• Administer programs for drop-in members and visitors.
• Prepare periodic activity reports.
• Assist with daily activities.
• Gather and ensure all equipment for programs is ready.
• Actively engage members and encourage participation.
• Record participation numbers for all programs.
