Job summary

The Mentoring Alliance in Waco, Texas, seeks caring individuals for part-time after-school staff positions focused on fostering youth development. Staff will lead enrichment activities and serve as role models for elementary-aged children, reporting to Area Directors.

Applicants should be at least 17 years old, preferably holding a high school diploma or GED, and exhibit a passion for working with children. Experience in educational settings and CPR certification are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 17 years.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
• Valid driver’s license or ID required.

Responsibilities

• Lead students in enrichment activities related to planned outcomes.
• Provide supervision and care for group of students.
• Support Site Director in providing leadership and supervision.

Skills

Passion for working with elementary school-aged children

Spanish-speaking ability

Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification

Experience working with elementary school-aged children

Education

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
