Job summary

DREAM is seeking an Enrichment Specialist to deliver diverse after-school activities for Pre-K to 8th grade students across East Harlem, Mott Haven and Highbridge.

You will design and deliver engaging lesson plans, lead 18–20 youths in 45‑minute sessions, and collaborate with Youth Workers and the Dean of Student Life to ensure a positive experience. This part‑time role runs three days a week from 3:00pm to 6:15pm, from 8/25/2026 to 6/4/2027, at $30–$38 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and meet role start date.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's or related certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with groups of youth preferred.
• Ability to plan and deliver lessons in a specialty area.
• Strong passion for youth development and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans for enrichment activities aligned to the DREAM model.
• Deliver sessions for Pre-K to 8th grade and culminate in a project or presentation.
• Collaborate with Youth Workers and program leadership for cohesive experiences.
• Embed literacy throughout instruction and maintain materials
• Prepare materials before activities and supervise post-activity cleanup
• Encourage active participation and model professional conduct
• Follow health and safety protocols and respond to incidents appropriately
• Manage budgets for materials on an as-needed basis
