Job summary

Asheville Learning Center LLC (Zaniac Learning) is seeking a reliable After-School Van Driver in Asheville, NC to transport students from school to our campus in Biltmore Park Town Square.

This part-time role offers approximately 10–12 hours per week with a 2:00pm–4:00pm schedule on weekdays during the school year; you will perform safety checks, supervise students, and coordinate with campus staff to ensure safe arrivals and departures.

Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Able to pass background check and drug screening.
• Experience driving children or passengers preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students from school to designated drop-off locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain order and supervise student behavior during transport.
• Communicate with school and campus staff about pick-up and drop-off schedules.
• Follow traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Keep accurate records of mileage, routes, and incidents or concerns.
• Assist young or special needs students with boarding and exiting the vehicle.

About the Role:

Asheville Learning Center LLC (Zaniac Learning) is looking for a reliable and caring After-School Van Driver to join our team in Asheville, NC to drive one of our vans! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives by ensuring they get from school to our campus in Biltmore Park Town Square safely each day. This part-time position has variable retail hours for typically 10-12 hours per week in the afternoon based on a schedule that varies by area school calendars and planned program, camp and event offerings. A typical work schedule during the school year is Monday-Friday, 2:00pm to 4:00pm. If you love working around kids and take pride in safe, dependable driving, we'd love to meet you!

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students from school to designated drop-off locations following established routes
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure van is in safe operating condition
• Maintain order and supervise student behavior during transport
• Communicate effectively with school and campus staff regarding pick-up and drop-off schedules
• Follow all traffic laws, school zone regulations, and company safety policies
• Keep accurate records of mileage, routes, and any incidents or concerns
• Assist young or special needs students with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed

Requirements:

• Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Prior experience driving children or passengers preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Patient, responsible, and dependable with a genuine care for children's safety and well-being
• Able to bend/kneel and open/close heavy doors to assist people as needed during boarding and disembarking process
• Strong punctuality and time management skills
• Ability to manage student behavior calmly and professionally
