Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Houston is seeking an After School Youth Tutor for the Main Office. The role is part-time, focusing on tutoring and mentoring youth in the Countdown to College program, with emphasis on college prep and career readiness.

You will maintain documentation, coordinate tutoring schedules, and supervise volunteer tutors while ensuring safety and compliance for field trips and driver responsibilities when applicable.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED and/or College Degree or Attending College
• Valid Driving License
• Good driving record
• Good communication skills
• Experience: At least one year experience working with youth

Responsibilities

• Tutor/mentor children who request tutoring services.
• Implement a well-defined schedule of service hours.
• Tutor/mentor students with college preparation on SAT, PSAT, and ACT
• Assist students in career preparation
• Maintain active communication with parents and review report cards of program participants to ensure program effectiveness.
• Supervise volunteer tutors and assign those tasks or tutoring participants.
• Complete and maintain files on each student tutored daily.
• Implement supplementary enrichment activities.
• Register as a Program Van Driver and transport participants or field trips
• Ensure permission slips are present for everyone in the agency vehicle
• Maintain first aid and CPR certification as required.
• Perform all tasks in keeping with the agency's mission and goals
