Job summary

The Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County is seeking a part-time Teacher-Tutor to support the 21st Century Community Learning Center program. The role provides intensive remedial assistance and homework help to students during the academic study portion.

Responsibilities include coordinating with program Educators, delivering instruction, and representing the Extension to the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Education.
• Experience relevant to the role.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and the ability to meet travel requirements.
• Ability to meet SACC and OCFS licensing requirements.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Program Delivery - 90%: implement the academic/study portion of the program.
• Communicate with school personnel to foster instruction and address youth needs.
• Identify program needs to enhance academic components and refer participants as needed.
• Collaborate with program staff to achieve After-School Program goals.
