Job summary

Hokali, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Theatre & Acting Educator to lead after-school programs for elementary and middle school students, with a focus on theatre, storytelling, and creative expression. The role runs Wednesdays, 2:45–3:45 PM, with compensation at $50 per hour.

You will teach TK–8th grade theatre fundamentals, ensure student safety, plan engaging activities, and adapt lessons to diverse ages and learning styles while maintaining attendance records and a safe space.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Willing to complete 3 hours of online training prior to start date (Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR).
• Authorization to work in the US.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach theatre and acting fundamentals to TK–8th grade students.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and lead engaging acting exercises, improv games, storytelling activities and performances.
• Foster confidence, creativity, communication, and teamwork through theatre-based activities.
• Adapt lessons to different ages, experience levels and learning styles.
• Manage student behavior using positive reinforcement.
• Maintain attendance and incident records and keep learning space organized.
