Job summary

HOKALI, Inc. is seeking a Theatre & Acting Educator to lead after-school theatre programs for TK through 8th grade. The role runs Wednesdays from 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM and pays $50 per hour, with a program window from October 21 to December 16.

You will create engaging activities and ensure safety and inclusivity within a supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate is 18+ and can complete required online trainings and has authorization to work in the US.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Must complete 3 hours of online training prior to start date (Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR).
• Authorization to work in the US.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach theatre and acting fundamentals to TK–8th grade students.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and lead acting exercises, improvisation games, storytelling activities, and performances.
• Foster confidence, creativity, communication, and teamwork through theatre.
• Adapt lessons to different ages and learning styles.
• Maintain attendance and incident records; organize materials and space.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Theatre & Acting Educator to join our growing team and lead engaging after-school theatre programs for elementary and middle school students. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about acting, storytelling, and creative expression, and who enjoy creating a fun, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

In this role, you will:

• Teach theatre and acting fundamentals to students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and lead engaging acting exercises, improvisation games, storytelling activities, and creative performances.
• Foster confidence, creativity, communication, and teamwork through theatre-based activities.
• Adapt lessons to different ages, experience levels, and learning styles.
• Effectively manage student behavior using positive reinforcement.
• Maintain accurate attendance and incident records.
• Prepare and organize activity materials, keeping the learning space clean, safe, and engaging.

• 18+ years of age
