Qualifications

• Interest in the well-being of school age youth, enthusiasm, patience, and a positive spirit.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating lesson plans.
• Strong communication and listening skills with children, parents/guardians, staff, and school administrators.
• Current teaching certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead school-age children through research-based curriculum to promote academic achievement and a love of learning.
• Prepare and submit lesson plans meeting the needs of individual youth and program goals in K‑12 schools served by the Y in Central Maryland.
• Support youth affected by achievement gaps and contribute to community well-being.
