Job summary

UC Irvine invites applications for a teacher role in an after-school program serving school-aged children. You will supervise aides and up to 45 children, plan and supervise classroom activities, and create a safe, healthy environment that supports free exploration.

You may substitute for department preschools and infant/toddler center as needed. Must possess or qualify for a CA Child Development Permit and have CPR/First Aid evidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• California Child Development Permit, Teacher Level.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certifications.
• Minimum of two years of experience in licensed center-based child care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise classroom activities for school-aged children.
• Provide a safe, healthy environment that encourages exploration.
• Supervise aides and up to 45 children in a diverse setting.
