Duties

Supervision and daily class functions of a group of children
Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
Observe all rules and regulations related to the health, safety, and care of children, including local, state, and national agencies
Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
Assess each child’s developmental needs on an ongoing basis
Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule according to the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming
Maintain an attractive, well‑kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence
Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while setting clear and consistent expectations for behavior
Accept responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds
Attend all staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions
Maintain overall professional appearance in accordance with the Chroma Early Learning Academy Employee Handbook
Apply knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
