Job summary

North Slope Borough School District is seeking an after-hours recreation supervisor to organize and supervise activities in school facilities during non-school hours and summer periods, as scheduled by the principal or designee.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 months related experience, the ability to lift 40 pounds, and the commitment to maintain safe, orderly facilities and adhere to district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 months related experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open and close recreational facilities, i.e., gym, pool, multi-purpose area, locker rooms, as scheduled and ensure building security, appropriate play and responsible behavior.
• Distribute and collect supplies and/or equipment for various activities.
• Maintain clean, orderly storage areas for supplies and equipment.
• Notify the site administrator or plant manager of incidents, problems, or concerns.
• Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the supervisor may assign.
• Adhere to all District policies and regulations.
