Job summary

North Slope Borough School District is seeking a Recreation Attendant to organize and supervise a series of regularly scheduled activities using school recreation facilities during non-school hours and summer vacations as arranged by the principal or designee.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 months related experience, ability to read and interpret procedures, and strong problem solving. Candidates should be able to lift up to 40 pounds and maintain safe, orderly facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two to three months related experience and/or training.
• Read and interpret procedures, policies and regulations; communicate with supervisor, staff, and public.

Responsibilities

• Open and close recreational facilities, ensuring building security and appropriate conduct.
• Distribute and collect supplies and/or equipment for activities.
• Maintain clean, orderly storage areas for supplies and equipment.
• Notify the site administrator or plant manager of incidents, problems, or concerns.
• Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the supervisor may assign.
• Adhere to all District policies and regulations.
