Job summary

Le Jardin Academy in Kailua, HI seeks an Extended Day Program Coordinator (Regular Part-time with benefits) to support PK-8 after-school and summer enrichment programs. Authorized to work in the United States is required.

The role reports to the Enrichment and Extended Day Program Manager and runs M-F 12:00–6:00 p.m. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and enjoy working with children, with 6-12 months of school setting experience and a 2-year college background.

Qualifications

• 2 years of college is required and certification progress may be needed.
• Associates degree in early childhood education or family studies is preferred.
• Bachelor degree with 6 credits in Early Childhood or willingness to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise PK-8 students during after-school hours.
• Support positive behavior management and routines after school.
• Assist the manager with meetings, orientations, and staff onboarding.
• Communicate daily with Auxiliary team, Supervisor and Extended Day team.
• Respond to emails daily and assist with compliance documentation.
• Help on playground and in classrooms after school as needed.
• Follow school policies and procedures in Employee Handbook.
