Le Jardin Academy is looking for a Summer Programs Preschool Teacher JK. This position will support the LJA mission statement and the implementation of the summer and/or after school programs, model the school‑wide agreements and the attributes of the IB Learner Profile, exhibit courteous behavior and a sense of professionalism at all times, and demonstrate an enjoyment of working with children.
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Child Development or CDA is required. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in any field with 12 early childhood credit hours and 6 months experience working with 0‑5 year olds in a licensed facility is required. Knowledge of or experience with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and previous substitute teaching experience are preferred. The role of Primary Summer Programs Junior Kindergarten Preschool Teacher will support the LJA mission statement and the implementation of the summer and/or after school programs, model the school‑wide agreements and the attributes of the IB Learner Profile, exhibit courteous behavior and a sense of professionalism at all times, and demonstrate an enjoyment of working with children. As part of our Extended Day program, the role of Teacher is to support the development of our junior kindergarten students (JK) socially and emotionally in alignment with a fun and safe recreational program during Afterschool and/or Summer Programs.
