Job summary

CPC Education and Career Services offers an NDA After-School Program that provides enrichment through tutoring and workshops to promote academic, social, and professional growth for high school students. The instructor will tutor in STEM and other subjects, develop engaging workshops, and coordinate guest speakers and field trips within program guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School degree required; College student preferred
• Prior experience in academic tutoring, especially with high school youth population
• Must have the necessary content knowledge, experience, and skills to implement program activities, including lesson plans and leading activities

Responsibilities

• Provide high school students individualized and/or small-group homework help and tutoring (preferably in STEM)
• Tutoring in Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus)
• Tutoring in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
• Tutor other subjects as needed
• Develop and facilitate informative and interactive workshops related to positive youth development
• Coordinate scheduling of guest speakers, community service opportunities and field trips within program guidelines
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Program Director
