Job summary

Mad Science of Washington is seeking a Part-Time STEM & Science After-School Instructor to lead interactive 60-minute classes for K–6 students after school in NoVA. You will pick up materials weekly, transport gear to school sites, and maintain safety and engagement.

The role offers a fixed afternoon schedule (approx. 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM) with two consistent weekdays. A reliable vehicle and background clearance are required, while curriculum is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year leading groups of elementary-aged kids (e.g., classroom teaching, camp counselor, sports coaching, after-school care).
• Ability to transport program materials and manage materials safely.

Responsibilities

• Lead interactive 60-minute science classes for groups of 12–20 elementary students (K–6th grade).
• Pick up program materials weekly from storage unit and transport to school sites in NoVA.
• Foster curiosity, manage decorum, and ensure student safety.
