Job summary

Nexplore is seeking a part-time After School Instructor in Haworth, NJ. You will deliver in-person STEM, digital tech, art, life skills, and/or fitness lessons to PreK-12 students, using provided training, lesson plans, and materials.

Responsibilities include following the schedule, maintaining engagement, and communicating with the Program Success Manager and site staff. Prior teaching experience and willingness to train are valued, with opportunities to impact thousands of students nationwide.

Qualifications

• AA Degree (or higher) required.
• 2+ years teaching/instructing preferred.
• Experience working with children.
• Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
• Must commit to the full proposed schedule.
• Great communication and presentation skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willing to complete mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Follow a provided schedule, arrive on time and prepared to teach, review lesson plans and materials.
• Deliver meaningful, standard-aligned instruction across STEM, digital tech, art, life skills and/or fitness.
• Engage in professional, responsive communication with the Program Success Manager and site personnel.
• Deliver inspiring instruction from Nexplore’s programs and adapt as needed.
• Participate in family engagement efforts and empower each child to engage in Nexplore programs.
