Job summary

University of the Pacific, Harold S. Jacoby Center seeks an After School Program Staff for the Stockton campus. The role supports elementary students in Expanded Learning Opportunities Program, guiding STEAM activities, ensuring safety, and delivering engaging after-school programming.

This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefit eligible position with a 10-month term. Responsibilities include lesson planning, maintaining order, and submitting timesheets, with some Saturdays possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Forty-eight completed college units or Paraprofessional Certificate are acceptable.
• Ability to pass fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Actively guide, teach and lead a group of 15-20 elementary students in STEAM activities.
• Maintain and ensure a safe environment for all students.
• Plan, create, implement and submit science or art lesson plans.
• Establish and enforce rules, routines and expectations with the group.
• Maintain a safe learning environment by addressing behavior issues as they arise.
• Role model and mentor elementary students.
• Review and submit timesheets by due dates.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
