BRAVO is an award-winning musical theater program at Brooks Middle School.

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Sound Operator to program and mix 30-32 wireless lavalier microphones, mixing with tracks and providing excellent sound for our upcoming full-scale musical theater productions throughout the year The Sound Operator is an after-school contractor position that works with the creative team to inspire excellence through music and storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Read the script and score to understand show needs.
• Meet with Director to discuss sound, sfx, and production needs.
• Design sound, program sfx, and meet production requirements.
• Test mics, cables and headsets before first dress rehearsal.
• Oversee and prepare mics before each tech rehearsal and show; pack away afterwards.
• Arrive early to prepare batteries, cables, and organization.
• Assist with mic placement on cast and stagecrew training.
• Troubleshoot with mic or sound issues during rehearsals and performances.
• Perform mic checks and operate the sound during rehearsals and shows.
• Lead with patience and maintain safety and cleanliness.
