Job summary

YMCA of Rapid City is seeking a dedicated Kidstop Site Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year in Rapid City, SD. The role supports afterschool programming for elementary and middle school students, leading daily site operations and ensuring a safe, engaging environment.

You'll mentor staff, implement age-appropriate curriculum, collaborate with school personnel and families, manage lesson plans and records, and participate in regular team meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or working with children in an educational or youth program setting.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with school staff, parents, and YMCA members.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of one Kidstop site.
• Lead on-site team to deliver age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Mentor staff, conduct regular evaluations, and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with principals, teachers, and administrative staff.
• Communicate with families about child progress and experiences.
• Manage lesson plans, safety protocols, equipment, and records.
