Job summary

Treasure Valley Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Shuttle Driver to provide safe transportation for program participants in Boise. The role emphasizes a welcoming atmosphere and adherence to policies, with training provided.

The position runs 2:30pm–4:00pm, Monday through Friday, averaging 5–10 hours weekly. Pay ranges from $15.45 to $19.31 per hour, with required licensure and certifications to be completed within the 14-day window.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to meet YMCA transportation/driving requirements. Training provided.
• Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
• Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
• Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.

Responsibilities

• Drive YMCA shuttle vehicle safely according to YMCA policies and state laws.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, families, staff, and volunteers.
• Create a safe environment in which others feel welcome and respected.
• Ensure YMCA shuttle rules are announced and followed.
• Complete thorough pre- and post-trip checks each day.
• Clean out YMCA shuttle vehicle each day.
• Fulfil all job requirements from CD Assistant Teacher when assigned.
