Read Better Be Better seeks an energetic After-School Literacy Program Coach to deliver its literacy curriculum in a Mesa elementary setting. The role typically involves supporting up to 32 students and coordinating with school staff.

The part-time position offers a flexible 5–10 hours per week during the school year, with opportunities for professional development, merit-based raises, and mentorship as you help build literacy and leadership in youth.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Fingerprint clearance card required or reimbursed by employer.
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation and training prior to placement.
• Prepare program materials and ensure readiness for students.
• Take class attendance and track participation.
• Deliver program activities per the curriculum during sessions.
• Encourage student participation and maintain engagement.
• Communicate program successes and challenges to the Program Coordinator.
