Job summary

The Baldwin School is seeking part‑time candidates for an after‑school Extended Day Program Teacher position. You will work directly with students in an after‑school setting, leading small groups in arts, sports, academics and mentorship from 2pm to 6pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include planning daily activities, using diverse teaching methods, and assisting with program administration while promoting a safe, inclusive environment for children from Pre‑K through Grade 5.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Patience, flexibility, dependability, and a sense of humor.
• Ability to engage and motivate students in an after‑school setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the daily after‑school program for Pre‑K through Grade 5.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and activities (indoor/outdoor games, stories, art, homework supervision).
• Create activities, workshops and events based on student interests with their involvement.
• Maintain a safe, organized environment and daily setup/cleanup.
• Assist the Manager of Auxiliary Programs with administrative tasks.
• Interact professionally with all members of the community.
• Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Maintain supplies and assist with other duties as assigned.
