Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers in Long Beach is seeking a Site Coordinator to manage daily operations of the after-school program at a site. You will coordinate staff, schedule activities, ensure a safe, inclusive environment for 10-20 participants daily, and liaise with parents, school staff, and community members.

This on-site role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and trainings. The ideal candidate has 1+ year experience supervising youth, strong communication, and the ability to lead a team in

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience supervising a group of children in a school or recreational setting.
• 1+ years’ experience supervising or leading a team and/or a group of children in a school or recreational setting.
• Experience working in expanded learning programs, after-school programs, or youth recreation settings preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Child Development or related field preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with children and youth.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
• Must pass an assessment test evaluating skills in math, reading comprehension, and spelling

Responsibilities

• Ensure students are in a safe environment and promote inclusivity.
• Lead and coach on-site team to deliver high-quality programs.
• Implement site protocols, safety regulations, WR procedures and policies.
• Coordinate with facilities management to access required spaces during program hours.
• Develop spending plan with activity plans and purchasing coordination.
• Coordinate field trips and attend as lead WR team member.
• Maintain and submit student attendance daily.
• Oversee staff schedules, timesheets, and fill-ins as needed.
• Participate in staff development trainings as required.
• Other related duties as assigned.
