Chelmsford Public Schools is seeking an Extended Day Counselor to coordinate after-school activities at Chelmsford Elementary Schools, Parker Middle School, and Community Education sites. The role reports to the Childcare Supervisor and Director of Community Education.

Responsibilities include implementing the daily plan, planning engaging activities, supervising students, and mentoring Jr. Counselor staff while maintaining safety and participant well-being.

Competenze

• Must complete CPS mandatory training before start.
• Ability to supervise students and plan engaging activities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts.

Mansioni

• Attend CPS mandatory training before Extended Day starts.
• Assist with sign-in and sign-out records.
• Implement the daily program plan under the site supervisor.
• Plan activities to engage students in the program.
• Adapt activities for small groups and individual needs.
• Support children with behavioral or physical challenges.
• Communicate with teachers and parents about progress.
• Supervise and mentor Jr. Counselor staff.
• Adhere to all guidelines and safety requirements.
