Job summary

The Academy of the Holy Names in Tampa, FL is seeking a caring Extended Day Program Assistant to join our Auxiliary Programs team. This part-time role supports after-school care for students aged 4 to 14, providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment from 2:30 p.m.

to 6:00 p.m. Ideal candidates enjoy working with children, communicate well with students and staff, and bring a positive attitude and teamwork to daily activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, preferably in a school or camp setting.
• Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions.
• Comfortable using basic technology.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support Extended Day program for students ages 4 to 14 after school hours.
• Supervise activities, assist staff, and ensure student safety and engagement.
• Assist with transitions from class to after-school program and communicate with families as needed.
