Job summary

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Urbana, Illinois is seeking an After School Programming Teacher for multiple positions.

This hourly role runs three days a week during the school year, reporting to the program coordinator and building administration. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Illinois Teaching License with the appropriate endorsement, have classroom experience, and be able to engage students in diverse enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with applicable certifications/endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engaging after-school programming lessons.
• Implement lessons in a developmentally appropriate environment.
• Create a welcoming classroom for all students.
• Collaborate with support staff to develop classroom procedures and activities.
• Plan activities inside and outside the classroom to broaden learning experiences.
• Take attendance and complete required documentation.

Education
