The Youth Mentor provides positive guidance, supervision, and support to youth ages 11–18 participating in NNCC’s after-school programs. Working as part of the Youth Services team, the Youth Mentor helps facilitate educational, recreational, and enrichment activities while creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes positive relationships, personal growth, and youth development.

Work is performed primarily in after-school and community-based settings and may include indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, and special events. The position requires regular interaction with youth and the ability to actively participate in recreational and program activities.
The employee may be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout program spaces for extended periods and lift or carry program materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
