Florence School District 1 in Florence, South Carolina is seeking an Extended Day Worker to supervise students in grades pre-K through 5 after school, ensuring a safe, engaging environment.

The role involves helping with transitions, serving meals, assisting with homework, supervising on the playground and during activities, and modeling professional behavior. CPR/First Aid and DSS hours must be maintained.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Maintaining DSS hours required.

Responsabilités

• Assist students with transitions throughout the program to include moving throughout the hallways, playground, and cafeteria.
• Assist with serving meals and monitoring students during dinner and snacks.
• Provide support to students during homework time.
• Participate and supervise students during social and game times.
• Participate and supervise students on the playground.
• Be a role model/mentor to students by demonstrating appropriate academic and social behaviors, and wearing appropriate attire.
• Set an example of personal excellence and high expectations for students to follow.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification and DSS Hours
• Performs related duties as required.
• Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including a computer, telephone, etc. Must be able to exert up to five pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
