Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking an Afterschool Group Leader in the North Suburban area to support school-age children with a safe, engaging, and developmentally focused program.

The role involves planning curricula, providing homework help, and serving as a liaison between families and educators while ensuring alignment with licensing and YMCA standards. This is a part-time position located at the North Suburban YMCA in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree with 3 months of school-age child experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months of experience in school-age care.
• 9 months of experience with school-age children, including 3 months supervised.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement classroom curriculum to support cognitive and social growth.
• Provide homework assistance and communicate with families.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, engaging learning environment.
• Coordinate with Site Director on program space and supplies.
• Support transitions and assess progress with reports and surveys.
