Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our After School Program at Ekron Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The role runs 3:00–5:30 pm, following the school calendar, with compensation of $14.50–$16.00 per hour.

Ideal candidates bring energy, patience, and a love of helping children learn through play. 18+, HS diploma required; health clearance and reliability are essential. Employer-paid childcare is available for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
