Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our After School Program at John D. Perkins Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.

The position runs in the afternoon from 2:15 to 5:30 pm, follows the school calendar, and offers employer-paid childcare among other benefits. Applicants should be 18+ with a HS diploma, and have a positive attitude and reliable interpersonal skills to support children and families.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, per state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
