Job summary

Andover Public Schools’ Kid Care Program seeks an Assistant Site Director to support daily operations at its five elementary school sites. You will guide staff, coordinate activities, ensure licensing compliance, and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and school personnel.

The role emphasizes leadership, program planning, and site-management responsibilities, with opportunities to advance skills in education and youth programming within the community.

Qualifications

• Hold one of the listed degrees with relevant experience with school-age children.
• Experience coordinating childcare, recreation, education, camp, or youth programs.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to meet Massachusetts childcare licensing requirements and follow program procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Director with daily operation of the Kid Care program at the assigned elementary school.
• Help maintain a safe, supportive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment for children and staff.
• Support compliance with Massachusetts childcare licensing requirements and Kid Care procedures.
• Assist with planning and coordinating games, crafts, recreational activities, homework support, outdoor play, and enrichment opportunities.
• Maintain attendance records and supervise children.
• Provide guidance to staff under the Site Director.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies per procedures and prepare required reports.
