Job summary

Great Hearts Arizona is seeking an Assistant Campus Coordinator in Scottsdale to provide managerial and operational support for the After-School Athenaeum and Summer Programs. This is a .6-time, 24 hours per week, 12-month, hourly position reporting to the Campus Coordinator.

The role requires strong communication, experience with children's programming, and licensing compliance. Proficiency in MS Office is preferred, CPR/First Aid certification is required on hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required upon hire.
• Must possess or obtain fingerprint clearance card upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure high quality after-school and summer programs.
• Assist with operational and administrative tasks such as paperwork, supplies, curriculum prep and implementation, staff training, marketing efforts.
• Utilize appropriate child guidance and classroom management strategies.
• Model and instill Great Hearts 9 Core Virtues (responsibility, perseverance, integrity, honesty, courage, citizenship, humility, friendship, wisdom).
• Maintain licensing compliance in all areas of program operations.
• Follow protocols for responding to and documenting student behavior.
• Escalate incident reports and significant events to Campus Coordinator.
• Substitute in classroom as needed.
• Act on behalf of Campus Coordinator in their absence.
• Attend meetings at home office and other local business locations.
