Kidcreate Studio-Ashburn/Fairfax Station, VA is seeking an enthusiastic After School Program Instructor to provide a safe, fun environment for elementary students from 3-6 pm during the school year.

Ideal candidates enjoy working with children, are energetic and creative, and can lead age‑appropriate activities while maintaining a positive classroom environment. The role is part‑time with a flexible afternoon schedule and opportunities for growth in education and youth programs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in education, child development, recreation, or a related field is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage students during the after‑school program.
• Plan and lead educational, recreational, arts and science enrichment activities.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students feel safe and encouraged.
• Maintain appropriate classroom and behavior‑management expectations.
• Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, teachers, and program staff.
• Monitor student safety and follow all program policies and procedures.
• Prepare and organize materials and activity areas.
• Participate in special events, themed activities, and program projects.
• Complete required attendance, incident, and other program documentation.
