Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking an After School Childcare Program Director to lead a licensed school-age childcare program in West Pawlet, VT. This site-director level role focuses on program quality, compliance with VT DCF licensing, and staff coaching in a school-based setting.

You will oversee afterschool programming, manage staff, ensure safe environments, and collaborate with families and partners to support enrollment and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old
• Associate’s degree or higher
• Ability to meet Vermont DCF school-age program leadership requirements

Responsibilities

• Support engaging after school programming for school-age children
• Coach and support Site staff in daily program operations
• Maintain safe, inclusive, and structured environments
• Support scheduling, onboarding, and daily staffing needs
• Build strong relationships with families and school partners
• Support enrollment and communication efforts

Education

Associate’s degree or higher

Vermont Afterschool Professional Credential

Vermont Program Director Credential

Vermont Teacher Licensure

Vermont On-the-Job Training Certificate

Master’s degree in a youth-related field
