Ozanam Afterschool is seeking a part-time Program Director to provide strategic leadership and daily oversight of high-quality academic, athletic, and enrichment programs for underserved youth in Pittsburgh. The role focuses on promoting student achievement, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment, and ensuring compliance with DHS and reporting requirements.
You will recruit participants, supervise staff and volunteers, and build partnerships with schools and community organizations.
Duration: September 8, 2026-June 10, 2027
ASP Work Hours: 4:00p.m. – 6:00p.m
ASP Work Week: Monday - Friday
Stipend: $600 Bi-monthly
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in education, sports administration, social work, youth development, a related field, or equivalent experience, with 3–5 years of experience managing afterschool, K–12 youth, or community-based programs, particularly in underserved communities. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
Experience in program development, staff and volunteer supervision. Increase youth development, and behavior management.
Familiarity in program logistics, data collection, DHS monitoring visits, reporting, and outcomes evaluation. Technological skills are necessary. Capable to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and required clearances.
