Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our After School Program at Mettawee Community School for the 2026–2027 school year. The role follows the school calendar with an afternoon shift from 2:30 to 5:30 pm, offering an employer-paid childcare benefit and a loving, energetic team environment.

Candidates should be at least 18 with a high school diploma (or equivalent) and ideally 1 year of experience with children.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+ and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
• Medically cleared of communicable diseases including TB.
• Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat with strong people skills.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift up to 50 lbs., and keep up with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academics, art, etc.).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies and host school rules.
• Support program operations including attendance, registration, and staffing tasks.
