Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking dedicated aides to support students after school, providing homework help, enrichment, and structured activities. You will supervise, ensure safety, and assist staff with routines to foster a positive learning environment for elementary students.

Ideal candidates have prior Special Education exposure, can commit to 4-hour daily shifts (1pm-6pm), and are available Monday through Friday with background checks and references ready.

Qualifications

• State and federal background checks required.
• Some college credits (48 Units) needed.
• Provide three references, at least one from a role with children.
• TB risk assessment or test required.

Responsibilities

• Support and engage students during afterschool activities, including homework help and enrichment.
• Supervise students to ensure a safe, positive environment indoors and outdoors.
• Assist staff with daily routines, transitions, and behavior management.
• Sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs while assisting students.
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Additional role requirements will be shared during the interview process.

Pay Range:

$28

Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements:

You’ll Stand Out If You:

• Have experience working in Special Education
• Have experience working with elementary-aged students
• Are available 5 days a week from Monday to Friday
• Can commit to daily 4 hour shifts, between the time of 1pm - 6pm

What Youll Do:

• Support and engage students during afterschool activities, including homework help, enrichment, and structured play
• Supervise students to ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment both indoors and outdoors
• Assist staff with daily program routines, transitions, and behavior management while building strong student relationships
• Sitting, standing, and walking, and able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, incl. indoor and outdoor settings
• Additional role requirements will be in the handbook and shared during the interview process
