Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking reliable after-school support staff to engage students in homework help, enrichment, and structured play. You will supervise and ensure a safe, inclusive environment indoors and outdoors while assisting staff with routines and behavior management.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs and participate in daily activities. Applicants should have some college credits (48 units) and pass state/federal background checks.

Qualifications

• Some college credits (48 Units) required.
• State & federal background checks required.
• Provide references: three, including at least one from role with children.

Responsibilities

• Support and engage students during afterschool activities, including homework help, enrichment, and structured play.
• Supervise students to ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment both indoors and outdoors.
• Assist staff with daily program routines, transitions, and behavior management while building strong student relationships.
• Sitting, standing, and walking, and able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students.
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, incl. indoor and outdoor settings.
• Additional role requirements will be in the handbook and shared during the interview process

Pay Range:

$16.90 - $28.00

Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements:

• Some college credits (48 Units)
• State & federal background checks
• You must provide contact information for three references, at least one of which must be from a role involving work with children (non-family related).
• TB risk assessment or test

You’ll Stand Out If You:

• Have experience working in Special Education
• Have experience working with elementary-aged students
• Are available 5 days a week from Monday to Friday
• Can commit to daily 4 hour shifts, between the time of 1pm - 6pm
