Job summary

Horry County Schools is seeking an After School Child Care Worker (Part-Time) to provide supervision and engagement for students in an afterschool program. You will assist with activities, support learning tasks, and work under the site supervisor to ensure a safe, structured environment.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and parents
• Knowledge of physical, mental, and emotional development of young children
• Certification in Red Cross first aid and CPR/AED

Responsibilities

• Arrive promptly and remain for the specified time.
• Supervise children constantly, never leaving them unattended.
• Assist children with hygiene needs and with assignments/activities.
• Assist site supervisor with providing daily services and reports.
• Coordinate planned activities as determined by the site supervisor.
• Refer serious discipline problems to the site supervisor.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions related to afterschool program.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the site supervisor.
