Job summary

St Mary - Dixon is seeking an aftercare assistant to support students in grades Preschool through 5th grade. The role is part-time, with hours from 2:15 pm to 5:00 pm, 2–5 days per week while school is in session.

You will assist the aftercare coordinator in supervising students, distributing snacks and milk, and helping organize activities and prepare materials. Strong communication and the ability to maintain a safe, caring environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understand and follow specific instructions and procedures, including safety procedures.
• Ability to maintain a safe, supportive, and caring environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the aftercare coordinator in the supervision of students.
• Distribute snacks and milk to students.
• Help organize activities and prepare materials for students in grades Preschool through 5th grade.
• Support students who need help with instruction, homework, and activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
