Job summary

The Levine Jewish Community Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking an enthusiastic J-Team After-School Junior Staff member to support the social, emotional, and educational needs of children in grades Kindergarten through 5th during after-school hours.

Under supervision, you will help plan and supervise activities, ensure safety, assist with crafts and homework, and participate in staff training and family events.

Qualifications

• Entering 11th grade by August.
• Child care or leadership experience preferred.
• Good communication with children and staff.
• Positive health and integrity.
• Desire to work with children in after-school setting.
• Willingness to participate in trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and supervising after-school activities for K–5.
• Support health, safety, and behavior management.
• Follow weekly event schedules and assist with crafts, games, and homework.
• Help organize supplies and transport children to activities.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and trainings.
• Model teamwork and supervise new staff as assigned.
