Job summary

The Salvation Army in San Angelo, TX is seeking a Part Time with Benefits employee to lead children’s activities in an after-school program. Responsibilities include tutoring, sports, Bible study, computer programs and specialized activities, plus serving lunch and snacks and assisting with field trips.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of experience in child development programs, and a valid driver’s license. CDL (preferred) and CPR/First Aid certification are welcome.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to two years’ experience teaching child development programs.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead children’s activities at an after-school program (classroom training, tutoring, sports, bible study, computer programs, specialized programs).
• Prepare and serve children lunch and snacks; assist in leading field trips; maintain cleanliness of the after school area; transports passengers in a Salvation Army vehicle.
