Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking an After School Program Aide to supervise and support students in grades K through 8 in a structured after-school setting.

You will follow a pre-set schedule, prepare materials for activities, and maintain a safe, welcoming space for students. The role requires interaction with students, families, and school staff and may involve occasional campus travel.

Qualifications

• Ability to interact positively with students, parents, teachers and administrators.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience in working with children is a value add.
• Positively interact with all students and create a safe engaging environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and school staff.
• Maintain professional appearance and flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and execute scheduled activities under the direction of the LKC Lead.
• Supervise students to ensure safety and promote positive behavior.
• Monitor students during outdoor activities and safe play on playground structures.
• Oversee meals and snack breaks.
• Supervise quiet homework time and provide assistance as needed.
• Engage with students in a friendly and professional manner.
• Enforce program rules and address behavior concerns promptly.
• Monitor and report incidents to the LKC Program Administrator.
• Stand and walk throughout the program duration to supervise students.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of activity areas.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
